Donaueschingen lies on the edge of the Black Forest. It is mostly well known for the confluence of the two rivers Brigach and Breg, which together form the "Donau", one of the bigger rivers in Germany. Perhaps the "Donaueschinger Musiktage", an international event of new classical music, is also known.
