"Langustl", also known as, Stephan Lange was born on September, 15th 1964 , the second son of five of a teacher, in Donaueschingen, Germany at the edge of the Blackforest. more

Through his early years, it became obvious that art was a big attraction to him.  His first interest was in painting, and later in music... more

	After primary school, "Langustl" began highschool (Gymnasium), where his constant dreaming kept him away from greater success in the other subjects- subjects where it is typically necessary to learn a little more! But his most important achievement during this time was the discovery of theatre in a school-theatre-group. more

In the 11th grade, it was clear that "Langustl" would continue his education as a woodcarver after finishing school- a life dream he had wanted to pursue. more

Fortunately, he was able to make the most out of his military service time by rehearsing and playing music.  The "Band 101" did several shows on various occasions both inside and outside of the barracks. more

After that, he continued with carving at the woodcarver-shop "Hein" in Triberg- a really great experience.  He remained at the shop for three and a half years, which was right in the middle of the blackforest. more

Then, for two years, "Langustl" learned to become a cabinet-maker, a difficult yet very instructive education.  Such new manual techniques served as great compliments to his previous knowledge as a wood-carver.

He spent the next three years in "Pestalozzi-Kinderdorf"/Wahlwies, a village for children, follow.  There, "Langustl" lived and worked together with young people in a pedagogic setting.  He had enjoyed what proved to be an amazing time during his years there, and learned a lot about human beings. more

"Langustl" continued his life experiences with young people thereafter, working at a day care centre for children in Konstanz for nearly a year.

Due to his collected experience and a bit of luck, he finally got a job offer as a therapist in a neurological clinic (clinic probably?...). He has been busy there since 1999. more

	Painting  has always maintained an important role throughout the life is "Langustl."  Eventually, his efforts in the workshop, as well as an occupation with tarot and symbols, led him back to his old dreams and painting roots- bringing him to develop his own stile.
